First, have a review of our post on Wherever to consume in Selcuk .

Ephesus Ancient City
The famous website of Ephesus was an old greek town just 3km away from Selcuk town center. It absolutely was built around 10th century BC. Most famous part of the town may be the Celsus library. It seems like a 2 ground library from external but usually inside was built as 3 floors. This library was the next greatest library in the old world. First two being Alexandria and Pergamon.

It is straightforward to get at Ephesus from Selcuk. You can get the minibusses (dolmus) that departs from the coach station in about every 10 minutes. Or you can walk the 3 kilometers if you feel like it.

Temple of Artemis
The temple is currently located in the center of Selcuk and Ephesus. When it had been built the area was belonged to the Ephesus old city. The temple was among the Seven Wonders of the Historical World. Now, you can only visit a line and a couple of ruins at the site.

Greek Village Sirince
The community of Sirince was built and habitated by greeks between 15th and 19th century. Now Turks are living in that sweet little town but most of the buildings are preserved from previous times so you can see the little variation of Greek architecture inside Turkey. It is like a key community in middle of the nature.

House of Mary Mother
This home that is on top of the Nightingale mountain close to Ephesus is where Linda Mother of Jesus was believed to lived her last days on earth. She was produced here by on Saint David and was protected here.

The basilica was modeled based on the lost Church of the Holy Apostles in Istanbul. It stands over the believed grave of John the Apostle which gives the name to the basilica. It was built in the 6th century and today only open for touristic reasons. It can be seen from the city center and about 5 minutes walk from the bus station (and our hotel).
